last year i got a collar made for dixie from etsy.com - it had some retro looking stars on it, which i thought kind of looked like molecules. anyways, she had a serious case of "ring around the collar", so inspired by a pattern i saw in Bend the Rules Sewing i decided to try my hand with some extra fabric.
it didn't seem quite sturdy enough with just fabric doubled over, so i folded it around some extra twill tape. (1" twill is very hard to find in this area, too. i had to find this at vogue fabrics in evanston.) i also added the number (which i smudged in these photos) and her name, and changed the position of the D-ring - though i made the pocket for the D-ring too big, because one week later it's already somehow come out. anyone know where i can get d-rings that don't open?
