is the crisp air and the brilliant red and orange maple leaves. (the "falling for ewe" swap i'm in requires blogging every week, and to help stimulate ideas it's posting questions. this is the first.)
fall is my favorite season - i'm all about fall colors. my wedding was in fall colors (dark red being the base). i love being just comfortable - not suffering sweltering humidity nor having my eyeballs freeze when i walk outside. i'm not really loving the downpours though.
off to madison and minneapolis today! we'll be in madison for the weekend, visiting A's cousins in madison, and meeting up with an old college friend of mine (i re-found her on google, after thinking about her when i was listening to a CD that she sang, and turns out she's a grad student just two hours away!). then to minneapolis, where i'll see another old college friend (reconnected on facebook - and ironically, the old roommate of the friend i'm going to see in madison - funny because none of us are from this area originally, one's from california the other's from upstate new york and we knew each other in boston!) and A is going to have a job interview for a virtual position (where he would work nights from home). thanks to recommendations from ravelry, i'm going to check out a cute area that has a kid's bookstore/toy store / lakes / playgrounds / yarn store / paper store. in fact there are two yarn stores in the area. what more could i want! tuesday is toddler day at mall of america so we'll probably brave it then.
