swap questions

created for those of us who might be a bit lax about blogging, here are the ravelry swap questions and my answers.

- favorite football team? not particularly a fan. i was born a cornhusker, went to a lot of the games growing up (my dad had great tickets at about the 40 yard line) but haven't followed it much (sacrilege, i know). went to a college not particularly known for its sports prowess. never been a professional sports fan either.

- halloween: i'm knitting a viking hat for boo (pattern here) and hope to make him a viking costume (based on the ideas from this site)! he hasn't agreed to put it on yet, though. i'm hoping that will change once i attach the horns. if i have time i'll make myself a helmet (from a milk carton, won't have time to knit one) with long blonde yarn braids.

- what cold weather project are you most looking forward to making this autumn? that viking hat above! i'm also working on a wonderful wallaby seamless hoodie for boo out of some yummy yarn. just started it but i'm not as enamoured with the yarn as i thought i might be. it's a multicolored yarn, looks like a blue/orange/red roving twisted around a central white piece of yarn, and the roving-ish colors keep on untwisting as i knit.
i'm also looking forward to making this autum shawl kit that i got at stitches midwest - it comes with this gorgeous maple leaf pin. but i might not get to it till next autumn, at this rate.
