my cousin rosemary came by for a surprise visit! she recently moved to montreal (from paris!) and had to go to vancouver on short notice, and was able to swing a stopover on the way back. (sure beat her stopovers on the way there - because it was a frequent flier mile flight, she flew montreal-dallas-SF-seattle!)
one of the first things we did was check out the gorgeous spring flowers at the botanic garden.
