chocolate chip dumplings?

boo loves playing with a little play microwave that i found for him at a rummage sale. it ended up in a pile of rewards to use while potty training, and today he got the microwave. we're pretending that his duplo legos are food, and made mac&cheese (a yellow duplo), pizza (with lots of "cheese"), and dumplings (any 2x2 duplo). lego fences are the spoon and fork, and a railway track serves as plate. his favorite right now are the dumplings. "i'm cooking a red dumpling and a blue dumpling." he takes it out of the microwave, puts it on the railroad track and says "ooh hot" and blows air on the little lego. then he uses the fence to pick up the "dumpling" and dips it into a little lego bowl. now he is industriously making "chocolate chip cookie dumplings." this is the first time that i've seen him really get into pretend play in a very abstract way. it's so cute to see him building "pizza" that i'm not sure i want to get him pretend food!
