interlude

back from our second trip to virginia/dc! before i process/upload the pics and memories from this trip, here is a little interlude.

just before we left boo started spelling. i'd stop at a stoplight and he would spell the signs by the side of the road instead of just pointing out random letters. one morning, i found a postcard in the mail that was a clever ad: a kid spelling our last name in seashells on the beach. i put it aside to show DH when he got home. boo got it and spelled out our name! (and if you know our name, it's not the easiest to spell.) i got him to repeat it for grandma, grandpa, papa and auntie arielle to immense applause. :)

i decided it was time to teach him our phone number. i was going to teach him my cell number, because i figure if (god forbid) he ever got lost, i'd be out of the house looking for him. so i started d saying "847 ..." intending to complete the sentence with my cell, and then he completed the sentence with our home number! he already knew it! the little eavesdropper, he must have absorbed it when i was telling folks our phone number while on the phone.

here's our little singer. he likes to sing while he plays the ukelele or piano :)
